
My busy schedule hasn’t allowed me to shoot one of my favorite sports, Drag Boat Racing, in over a year so when I actually had a few days off, with the worlds fastest boats in town, it was an event I was not gonna miss. So after shooting 13 NASCAR races around the country it finally came down to my 14th and final race of the season in sunny Miami for the championship race. With Jimmie Johnson having a gigantic points lead I would spend most of my weekend trying to get as many different angles of him as possible since the championship would be his third straight, tying him with NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough as the only driver to three peat, and would be good for sales. If the Phoenix International Raceway wasn’t 30 miles from my house I doubt I would come to this race. While it is a fun track to drive on its not quite as fun as a fan.
