Time for my first 2013 NHRA blog posting of the year. As with last year my drag racing season would begin in West Palm Beach, FL for pre season testing, Toyota Racing NHRA portraits and new on the schedule this year… some fishing!
After a long day spent on the starting line for Friday, I decided I wanted to shoot top end for day two of qualifying. Last year I would shoot top end this same day and was rewarded with a Pretty Wild Photo Sequence. Would today provide me any cool photos? As a former vice president candidate used to say, “You Betcha!”
.My last couple days in London I told myself multiple times how I couldn’t wait to get home and not have to pick up a camera for several days. Just two days after getting home I would take a fishing trip with a buddy… and I would be happily picking up a camera and working my ass off!

I have a love hate with covering the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics. On one hand its an incredibly long day as a photographer which results in you sitting in your position for up to six hours prior to it starting. On the other hand you get to witness incredible scenes and a fireworks show to die for. On with the show! (more…)
.The third race on the 2012 NHRA season took us to Gainesville, FL. Its a track rich with history that I was excited to get back to following my first visit last year.
.The second race on the 2012 NHRA was my favorite stop on the circuit. Not because its a cool track or its a big race but because I get to sleep on my own bed every night. Lets get right to the action of a gorgeous weekend in the Arizona desert.
