Since every TV channel, website and publication has done their moments/photos of the decade I decided I should probably do the same. While I am sure I am missing numerous worthy photos (due to a few dead hard drives and my laziness to scan negatives) here are 50 of my favorite images from the last decade. Enjoy!
.In what was supposed to be a nice relaxing week off turned into a few days of following the number one golfer in the world, Tiger Woods, as he made his return to competition after eight months recovering from a knee surgery following his amazing victory in the US Open in Torrey Pines that I had the pleasure of shooting. .Throughout the year there are some sports I cover only once or twice so instead of leaving them out I have decided to show some of my best sports images from random sports. .So I was sitting in the Las Vegas airport after three days of shooting the Olympic Trials for wrestling and judo. I am not really a golf fan or anything but with a tournament the size of the US Open plus a few of my buddies (Benson and Vasquez) were there shooting it I passively followed the action when I had a few minutes.
My flight ended up being delayed by about 45 minutes which had me sitting on the ground in the corner plugged into a power outlet working on images when my buddy Pouya Dianat IM’d me to tell me about the final hole of the tournament with Tiger Woods trailing Rocco Mediate by a stroke. I didn’t think he was gonna sink the final put to send the game into overtime then I heard cheers from all around the airport and seconds later received the IM from Pouya “WOW”
