Time for my first 2013 NHRA blog posting of the year. As with last year my drag racing season would begin in West Palm Beach, FL for pre season testing, Toyota Racing NHRA portraits and new on the schedule this year… some fishing!

Been way behind on posting my Best of 2012 but I have a good excuse. I have been busy preparing my newly designed photo blog featuring large retina quality images. No better way to break in this new blog than by showing off my Best of 2012 gallery I am most proud of. Strap in for my best drag racing pics of 2012!
For week two of NHRA in Indy I would continue my yearly tradition of doing candid driver portraits in the staging lanes during qualifying. Its always an adventure doing these type shots with an assistant running around with me carrying a softbox. But when the photos come out good it makes all the additional effort worthwhile!

Next up in my quest to get caught up before departing for the Olympics are my 10 favorite images from NHRA Bristol. It would be tough to top the photos I got at this race last year but I would give it my best shot to come home with some winners.
.The third race on the 2012 NHRA season took us to Gainesville, FL. Its a track rich with history that I was excited to get back to following my first visit last year.
.At the beginning of January I made my first flight of the year up to Indianapolis to shoot portraits of the 2012 Aarons NHRA drivers.
.Baseball has the World Series, Football has the Super Bowl, when it comes to NHRA, the biggest race on the calendar is the prestigious US Nationals near Indianapolis. I am weeks behind on posting this blog due to an out of control work schedule so lets jump right in.
