Here is my 10 Spot featuring my favorite images from Sunday at NHRA in Dallas. This was race two of the six race playoff to determine our 2012 Champions. By the end of this day we would eliminate several drivers from any realistic shot at the season championship. Buckle up!
.Day two of NHRA Dallas would be a repeat of weather conditions from Friday, basically it was hot and miserable. Thankfully I wasn’t stuck in a multi layer fire suit! Then again, for the 100 thousand dollars John Force would win wearing said fire suit, I would do many many things that we won’t mention…. (more…)
.Lets jump right into the images from Friday at the Texas Motorplex near Dallas. This weekend marks my fourth weekend in a row of NHRA.
.A few months ago at NHRA pre-season testing at West Palm Beach I rented a helicopter to do some aerial photography. It was a learning experience that made for some good shots but also left me anxious to get in the air and do it again. This time at an actual NHRA race! Get ready for liftoff…
.The second race of the Countdown to the Championship would take me to the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX (30 miles outside of Dallas) for the Fall Nationals. After being completely spoiled by the cool temperatures the previous week in Charlotte I would be in for a miserable weekend with highs near 100 degrees. I guess thats why we make the big bucks!
.After missing the race in Charlotte due to another shoot I was happy to get back on the circuit at Royal Purple Raceway near Houston, TX for my fourth NHRA race of the 2011 season. It would end up being an interesting race with two predictable pro winners and two surprises.
.One of the awesome and/or terrible things about my occupation is assignments can come up out of nowhere and a completely eliminate what I thought would be a nice relaxing weekend at home. This blog is a perfect example of my wild and crazy life.
