Here are some of my favorite images from a smooth and easy Sunday of NHRA at St. Louis. Below, an NHRA fan is overcome with the nitro fumes as the top fuel dragster of Doug Kalitta warms up prior to the first round of eliminations.

Easily one of the coolest drivers on tour is top fuel driver T.J. Zizzo, even after his early first round exit he was all about having fun for the camera as he was towed back to the pits.

A wild moment would occur during a wild round one pedalfest between Courtney Force and JFR teammate Mike Neff. Courtney would get her Traxxas sponsored Mustang way sideways and would slap the wall. Force would be unhurt.

Cruz Pedregon does not look like a happy man following his first round loss. Its at times like these that I am glad to have the long lenses I have. I would have been scared of Cruz kicking my ass had he seen me shooting this picture.

On hand for his second consecutive race was motorsport fanatic Jesse James.

In the below shot, funny car driver Alexis DeJoria takes a photo of Jesse with a fan. Im hoping the reason he is coming to races is because he wants to race a funny car. How cool would that be!

A couple of my blog readers would pick up Wallys in the sportsman classes so I gotta include them!

First up we had Daryl Bureski who would pick up the win in stock eliminator.

In comp eliminator it would be Clint Neff picking up his second career national event win.

In pro stock motorcycle, the Harleys would be back to their dominating ways. In the final it would be Harley teammates Eddie Krawiec vs Andrew Hines.

Krawiec would take the win. At the top end of the track he would go for a fist bump with runner of Andrew Hines but Andrew would leave him hanging just long enough to start making it awkward before laughing and returning the love.

Erica Enders would pick up yet another win. This time in a rematch of last weeks final round against Allen Johnson.

Unlike when he won last week, Allen Johnson wasn’t in the normal happy smiling mood we are used to seeing him in this season.

Going into the day it was looking like funny car driver Ron Capps was close to putting the championship out of reach of the rest of the field. After an early round two exit the door would be wide open for Jack Beckman to knock some points off his deficit. All he had to do was win to capitalize on it. And win he did!

In top fuel it would be Antron Brown continuing his awesome playoff performance with his second consecutive win.

In the below shot he celebrates by kissing the ESPN camera.

In winners circle Jack Beckman would put the trophy near the mouth of his young daughter Layla and tell her to kiss the Wally. Instead she would try to eat it!

That wraps up another weekend of NHRA. Only three races to go!
