Every year I make the hour flight over to lovely Albuquerque, New Mexico to cover the New Mexico Bowl. Like many people, I’m sure you haven’t heard of the New Mexico Bowl but I assure you its always a fun event to cover as a photographer thanks to it being a day game outdoors. To someone who spends most of his time covering football at night or in a dome, its a huge deal! Continue on to check out the incredible game!

Like many photographers, I prefer college football to professional football as the players are still out there for the love of the game, instead of just the money. College football players seem to play harder and show more emotion as most will never play at a higher level than college. A few weeks ago Ka’Deem Carey and the Arizona Wildcats ran their way to the schools first victory in 30 years over a top five ranked opponent. A rare day game with great light would make for a fun day in the office for me!
NASCAR wrapped up its 2013 season a few weeks ago in sunny Miami, FL and I was fortunate enough to be there covering my ninth NASCAR championship race. By the end of the weekend I would be shooting a familiar face in championship victory lane.
