Its the end of 2010 so its time for my third installment of my best of blogs from the year. First up will be my best celebration and dejection photos for the year.

After missing my first Rose Bowl in six years I was excited to make the trip a few days later to sunny California to cover the BCS Championship game which is essentially the second biggest football game on Earth behind the Super Bowl. All that I could think about leading up to the game was I hoped to have a good game and not screw up.

With how busy I have been covering NASCAR during this years Chase for the Cup I gotta admit I was starting to get bored with the repetition of covering several races. I haven’t shot an NFL game in well over a month and really miss shooting it, however a weekend in Talladega was more than enough to help me realize why I love covering NASCAR so much. The Craftsman Truck Series race is usually one of the best races I shoot all year. Sadly this year was the exception to the rule and all my best images during the race were of the drunk fans.

Today was my travel day from Phoenix to Talladega for this weekends big race. While normally I don’t go to the track on a Thursday I decided to swing by the track to show first time visitor Guy Rhodes around the facility. I wasn’t expecting to take any photos. Of course that went out the window once we got there!
