Next up in my Best of 2011 series is my best basketball images. While I am far from a fan of basketball, I am slowly but surely starting to not hate covering the sport. Ok, on to the images!

While in Texas on a mini vacation I was offered the opportunity to head down to Houston and cover a few rounds of NCAA Basketball March Madness. While I always make it a point to tell anyone who’s listening that I hate basketball for some reason I eagerly accepted the gig and off I went for three games of college hoops.

The NBA season is now past the halfway point so I figured it would be a good time to highlight some of my favorite images from the first half.

After the previous day of shooting college baseball pitcher Stephen Strasburg in Dallas and having my flight home cancelled I flew home the morning of the Elite 8 game between Missouri and Uconn. I knew it would be a rough game on me since I would be completely worn out but as with every shoot I would still give it full effort in hopes of getting something great. Sadly great wasn’t in the cards for me.

Anyone who knows me knows that I totally despise shooting basketball, however when a big game or tournament comes to town I usually find myself shooting it. With March Madness making a trip to Glendale, Arizona with two Sweet 16 games I added the games to my schedule.
