A few months ago I was lucky enough to shoot my fourth Super Bowl game. This game would be a rematch of the 2009 Superbowl that took place in Arizona between the Patriots and the Giants. Now if only this game could be as exciting as that one!

The previous race I covered was an epic championship race for the NHRA so heading to Miami for NASCAR I was hopeful for another close championship race. Close would be understatement as heading into the race Carl Edwards led Tony Stewart by an astoundingly close three points. Time to award some hardware!

Every year when May comes around I get excited to go cover my favorite race of the year, the Indianapolis 500. Nothing can compare to the history and tradition of the 500. Off to the races!

With the opening week of Daytona out of the way all eyes would be on the biggest race of the year, the Daytona 500. Oh and Danicas first Nationwide start. Both races would live up to the hype and then some.

Still tired from shooting the football game at BYU the night before, I landed in San Diego and was picked up by my buddy Rob Benson and off we went over to Qualcomm Stadium to shoot the San Diego Chargers home opener against the mighty Baltimore Ravens.

After a few weeks of shooting baseball I was more than excited when NASCAR made its first visit of the year to the Valley of the Sun. While the race itself usually isn’t very exciting, the light for shooting photos of the race that begins in the day and ends at night is typically amazing. With three races on tap for the weekend things were shaping up to be a fun, productive weekend at home for me.

2008 was a good year for me covering NASCAR, and although for the second straight year I shot less races than the year before I feel I produced many more quality photos in the shorter time span. Beyond all the successes and events I shot during 2008, nothing can compare to my 3 weeks in Beijing, China covering the 2008 Summer Olympics. It was my first Olympics and allowed me the chance to try and compete with the worlds best sports photographers. It was a very long, exciting, eye opening trip.
