Here is a new category for my Best Of galleries. While everyone seems to know me only as a sports photographer I like to shoot pretty pics once in awhile as well. So here are some of my favorite scenery pics of 2011. Enjoy!
.Every once in awhile we get to witness great moments in sports history. I didn’t realize it but at the Charlotte Bobcats vs the Phoenix Suns game in Phoenix I would be courtside with the best seat in the house to see a moment that has people all around the country buzzing as the moment is played over and over on TV.
.The last few weeks I have been blogging like crazy with all my Best of 2010 categories. We are almost finished (thank god). Here is an assortment of some of my favorite football images of 2010. Enjoy.
.A new category in my best of series this year is my best portraits. While I rarely shoot portraits I have been doing my best to make an effort to start doing more so I can get better at them. While the photos in this post are not on the level of my sports action stuff I will share them anyways.
.The best thing about the end of summer and beginning of fall (even better than below 100 degree temps) is the beginning of football season. Unlike baseball, even the most boring football game will feature athletes colliding and flying through the air on nearly every play. Plus its a good workout running up and down the sidelines keeping up with the action. Outside of motorsports I gotta say that football is my favorite sport to shoot. Ok, lets get to the game. Hike!
.Next to racing, football is my favorite sport to shoot. Due to some pending legal issues I am reluctantly excluding NFL images from this year in the blog (so a lot of my best shots are missing) but here is the best of non NFL football from 2009. Enjoy!
.My schedule this year had prevented me from covering Arizona State football games all season, thankfully I had a free day which enabled by to cover their last game of the season against home state rival University of Arizona. It is always their biggest game of the year so that plus the fact the stadium is only 10 minutes from my house had me pretty excited for the shoot.
.A few weeks ago I was laying on the couch watching Family Guy when a commercial came on advertising a college basketball doubleheader at the NFL stadium here in Phoenix. I despise basketball and think the sport should be banned but I instantly sent a email to my credential guy requesting a pass. Why you may ask? Because I envisioned an amazing wide angle shot of a tiny basketball court inside of the massive stadium. Continue reading to see how it all panned out.
